a few changes

I am trying to fix the time on my blog and still have not been successful, if any of you know how this might be done please clue me in.

recap- I moved from the west coast to the east coast. This has caused my blog to claim that I am making blog posts at un-natural hours. I know its not a real big deal but it is kind of annoying to me.

I also added a few of my favorite blogs over there---->
I took a few away since I just don't read those blogs anymore.

I think that my favorite new blog has got to be Cass over at That Old House. I have spotlighted her before but I simply love the house and her. She is a delightful blogger and I love the blogs shes putting out lately. Her daughter is getting married soon and she is posting such lovely pictures of her home as it gets dressed up for the event, new flowers in the yard and pretty rugs in the parlor.

I also added the lovely Shady Lady over at Unschooling Royalty. I love her blogging style and since she is a fellow unschooler who tends to do things a lot like I do its nice to have someone else as a reference.

I hope that you all enjoy their blogs as much as I do.

* my blogs that I follow post according to who has posted the most recently so they are not in any particular order, just most recent on down.*

  1. Thank you so much for the blog love, Crystal!! :D You made my day!

To change your time zone: go into "Settings" then "Formatting". The fifth option down allows you to choose/change time zones. Hope that helps!

  2. Wooo Hooo!

I just knew someone would know how to fix it! :) I was so confused it was irritating me. :)

I am glad to have made your day. :) You have cheered me on a lot the last few weeks and that is so wonderful. I enjoy your blog too and I try and keep my blog list fresh. I don't have that many followers yet but hopefully one day. I mean even PW had to start somewhere!

  3. Happy to help!

I think we're both a little low on followers. ;) We'll have more in time. And if not, that's okay, too. Oh...who is PW?

  4. PW is the Pioneer Woman. I simply LOVE her blog! She is a homeschooling mom who lives on a farm in OK. She has a few cook books out and she just put out a book about her dog Charlie that is a kids book.
you can check her out http://thepioneerwoman.com/

  6. Pam I think I might have stumbled onto Cass's blog through yours! I am also in love with her house. It is stunning and I swear it looks perfect for pulling up a chair on the deck with a cup of tea and a chat. :)

  7. Hi Crystal!
I just sat down for a moment at my desk to check emails and blog comments before stumbling up the stairs to bed (LONG day!)...and I was catching up with your blog and saw your lovely and kind comments about That Old House!

You are such a sweetheart! I'm still amazed that anyone reads my blog other than me and my father-in-law. :-P

I love the sofa you designed for your future living room . . . and you WILL get it someday. My dream of having a rambling old screwball of a house didn't come true until I was in my 50s and married for over 30 years. good things are worth waiting for.

Love those vintage chairs -- I saw kitchen chairs on Craigslist here in New Jersey that you would love. too bad they are so far away from you, as they are CHEAP too. I love cheap.

As for the stairs from our second floor down to the first, which you commented on in today's post, they really are not steep at all -- they just look that way in the picture. both staircases from that hallway have normal steps, thank goodness -- I don't like steep stairs. Don't mind going UP them, but I get dizzy going down.

and now doggy Dion has barked and asked for a final trip to The Great Outdoors before bedtime. have a lovely weekend!

PS Blogger has been odd lately--it seems to have stolen my Followers!

  8. Cass~
Blogger has been odd lately. The followers disappear and re-appear as well as comments.

My big giant dream is to own and run a B&B. I want to live on land and have a giant old farm house or a victorian with gardens and people coming to get away. I want to cook for people and create that relaxing atmosphere for people. I long to share my home made scones and jam freshly baked lemon blueberry cake and o so many more things with people.

For now my reality is raising, educating, and learning. I love my life and am blessed to be able to do the things I love. When I was in high school I decided I wanted to be a teacher. I thought it would be a more classical type teacher but as it turns out I love the freedom of homeschooling and I get to be a teacher to the 4 people who matter most in MY life.

I know my dreams will happen because I desire them and focus my energy on them daily.
