So much to do...

So why do I find myself unmotivated? I think I am simply overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done.

I have planned out our route and chosen some things we want to see on the trip.

I have sorted through stuff and decided what I want to keep and what I want to get rid of.

I have listed things for sale on the ever popular Craigslist.

I have sold a few things.

I still have more to sell.

My husband and older children have gone to storage and sorted through the massive amounts of things we have there. We have things there that have to get sold as well and had to figure out how much had to go in the truck.

Now comes the task of packing up the things we use a whole lot. It is hard to determine what can get packed how much has to stay out until the last minute and how much we can fit in the truck.

I have to figure out seating for 4 kids, 4 dogs and 2 bunnies. I think I have it figured out but who knows! we have not tried to fit them in the car yet.

what will I do if the dogs freak out about the rabbits being in the car?

Or perhaps the rabbits are going to freak out and have a heart attack on the drive over.

How will I make sure the rabbits have water we will be on the road for 7-8 hours at a stretch.

ahhh the things running through my brain.

O and I must find my new paypal card that came before we moved in here. where in the world did i put it so it wouldnt get lost? ha ha ha.

ok that is enough rambling for today. On with the work. Wish me well folks.

  1. Oh boy.....been there, done that, more than once. I can definitely sympathize! As far as pets go...we have learned that dogs are far better travelers than cats are. We've never tried making the trip with bunnies, but the logistics of cats needing water and a litter box over the course of a two-day trip is something that we've handled. It's a hassle but definitely do-able. Thank God for motels that allow pets.....even if they charge a pet deposit for the night, it's worth it!!

  2. ya know whats better then motels with a pet deposit? Camping without a deposit for pets. :) LOL we just have to keep them in our control and we will be lugging their crates with us so thankfully we can put them in their crates at night to sleep. :)

  3. Oh yeah, that is definitely better cost-wise! I'm not much of a camper, though. I like to have a bed, a shower, TV, and preferably Wi-fi. LOL:) We haven't been camping since my 17-year-old was about 5.....I can't even imagine camping with my daughter. Her idea of "roughing it" is staying at a motel that doesn't have hot breakfast or a pool....God forbid she can't take a hot shower any time of the day or night! lol!

  5. LOL Heather! I love love love camping. And MOST state camp sites have running water, showers, flushing toilets AND Wi-Fi. I also have Verizon and the stick so I will be set for wi-fi ;)

Rana~ I am trying to take it just one thing at a time. :) It is so hard to do sometimes. Especially when the voice in my head screams only ____ more days! We are now down to 7 days and wow is my head spinning! :) I know it will all get done and we are going to have a blast on our trip.

  6. First, remember to breathe! I love lists. Making a list and checking things off as they're done can be so satisfying. It will all get done!! :)
